This story is saturated with poverty, child abuse, domestic violence, and murder. If you are sensitive to these topics, take a pass this week. We totally understand. We also experience a few technical difficulties and a power outage in our quest to tell this story.

Not that anyone was really in the mood for astrology after this case, but we have some anyway. On July 27th, Mercury enters Leo. Mercury is the planet of communication, so during this time our interactions will be happy, energetic, fun, and confident. One downside of Leo’s communication skills is a tendency to talk over people and not listening very well, so be aware and adapt if you find yourself dominating the conversation.
On July 29th, Mars enters Virgo. Mars controls how you approach and deal with situations, so with practical Virgo in Mars, we will approach situations armed with planning, organization, and back-up plans, as Virgo loves to be prepared. Do be aware that a Virgo can get stuck in the details and not actually move forward, so remember, that nothing will ever be perfect (the mantra that Hannah is trying to believe in as she tries to finish her PhD).
Food Pairing: Hannah was at her least Virgo when she was writing her notes for this episode and only wrote “watermelon cocktail” for the food pairing and not one of us remembers what that meant. One of Seig’s first arrests was for stealing watermelons so that may be the connection… It is summer, watermelon is in season, so throw a couple of chunks of watermelon in your gin drink or something.
