Episode 21: Villisca Axe Murders
Join us this week as Meredith continues “Creepy Season” with the story of the Villisca Axe Murders of 1912. We will learn a little about the history of the telephone as well as the difference between the Presbyterians and the Methodists. The case ends and the paranormal begins. You will hear about some seriously spooky shit that occurs at the Villisca Axe Murder House.
Do you believe in ghosts? Would you brave a night in this house of horror? Let us know!
ON SEPTEMBER 6TH – Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow… and will enter full retrograde later in the month on September 27th.
So, it enters its shadow – this means the planet is traversing the degrees it will later return to while it is in true retrograde. Decisions and plans that you make now may come up for review later, so be aware of things you are planning for from September 27th through October 18th!
Also on September 6th: New Moon!
New moons signify new beginnings – use this time to formulate new goals for the month – and maybe even the rest of the year (thanks to that studious and organized Virgo energy!)
This New Moon presents an excellent opportunity for us to formulate some goals regarding “all things Virgo.” We’d do well to concentrate on new ways to get our day-to-day life organized. We might think about the keywords for this particular and earthy sign — such things as analytical, intelligent, reserved, critical, helpful, conscientious — and consider ways to enhance, develop, or incorporate these traits into our personalities.
Food Pairing: Bacon, obviously.

*This is an extremely lukewarm recommendation from Hannah. There is a lot of information, but the book is way too long and the author’s voice is too folksy and condescending.
