Episode 10: Gary Schara (Sagittarius)
Join us for Episode 10 as Sarah tells the tale of a murder case, gone cold then warm again, in Agawam, Massachusetts. It’s a tale of a monster able to slink back into the shadows and lead a normal life for 25 years after he kidnapped, raped and murdered a beloved teacher in this small community. The guy apparently likes to write, and spills his guts on paper for his then-girlfriend and the authorities when he was about to be caught.
Then, listen in on how the ending of Mercury retrograde will improve everyone’s communication, and the full moon on June 24th in Capricorn will help to restore some damn productivity!
Food Pairing: This week’s food pairing is in honor of Ed Borgatti, who had to deal with years’ worth of small town rumor before everyone was finally convinced that he was not Lisa’s killer. Ed remained in Agawam, where he owns EB’s Restaurant, which looks like a combination of a craft beer bar and restaurant, and I would definitely stop by if I ever found myself in Agawam, MA.
In 2019, Ed won the Big E Corn Contest at the Eastern States Exposition with “Country Fried Shepherd’s Pie.” This involves forming balls of meat mixture, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes, rolling the bars in panko bread crumbs, and then deep-frying them and finishing them off with a drizzle of gravy.
Please enjoy this picture of Ed with his winning balls and maybe throw together a Shepherd’s Pie, deep-frying optional.
