Episode 06: Richard Cooey (Gemini)
In 1986, Richard Cooey and a friend kidnapped, raped, and murdered two University of Akron students, Wendy Offredo and Dawn McCreery. Although the case was pretty open-and-shut, Richard Cooey submitted an appeal against his death sentence, using a unique reason that we had never heard of any one else using. We also do a bit of a side tangent on lethal injection and how it works.
Welcome to Gemini season! Don’t be a gooey dick.
Food Pairing: Reading about Richard’s last meal prompted Hannah to first go buy some sourdough bread for toast and then to go all in with a diner breakfast.
